What would be the rough cost to completly rewire a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home due to fire damage?

The house we are interested in has been damaged by fire on the lower levels which includes 2 of the bedroom, garage, and the guest bath. Structurally the house is sound, was built in the late 1800-early 1900’s. My uncled is willing to sell it to me for an extreamly good deal, but our only concern is the fact that it most likely needs to be completely rewired. The top level which icludes living room, dining room, kitchen, master bath, master bedroom, and guest bedroom have no damage except soot.
I am interested in a rough estimate for what it might cost to completely rewire the house doing an almost complete demo on the bottom, and while keeping upstairs almost completely intact to maintain the homes integrity.
I know to have an electrician look at it, we are, but i would like as many opinions possible to make this decision.
The fire was not caused due to an electrical problem. It was caused by a small space heater.

you dont say where you live.the good news is that before drywalling the fire section you can run new wire.either you can run romax or condiut.romax is 20% cheaper than conduit but,the reason you had the fire is because of the romax.you need a minimim of 100 amps service to the mast head!you are looking at 4500.00 for romax and 6000.00 for condiut if i knew more than i could help more……

well it’s hard to say it has to be brought to code. A house that size you might as well have a 200 amp main put in. Due to rising cost of copper and the labor to wire a house that you may not be able to access the wall studs easily it could be from 6,000 to 12,000. Also if you sign a contract make sure the fine print doesn’t say price subject to change due to material costs.
